Product Description
Forstner bits are designed to drill flat bottom or through holes cleanly in end grain, thin stock, veneers and regular stock. They enlarge existing holes with ease and can bore any arc of a circle. These bits will not move off center through unusual grain or knots. Great for mounting mini-quartz clock movements, cup hinges, and door locks. The saw teeth design for larger diameter bits stop burning and cut faster without losing the advantages of Forstner bit action. Includes these HIGH QUALITY STEEL Jumbo bits: 2-1/4" Forstner Bit, 2-3/8" Forstner Bit, 2-1/2" Forstner Bit, 2-5/8" Forstner Bit, 2-3/4" Forstner Bit, 2-7/8" Forstner Bit, 3" Forstner Bit, 3-1/8" Forstner Bit. I needed a couple of large size forstner bits, and I couldn't pass up this deal. They are packaged kind of poorly, such that a few of the cutting tips are chipped, but for the most part they are in good shape, and the ones I have used have cut cleanly. There are certainly better bits available, but for the price these are a fair deal. I would purchase them again.

Unbalanced bits with uneven teeth; even at low speed on the drill press they chatter enough to render them useless for my application. Probably suitable for rough construction.
